Setting: After Chapter 25 For how busy the bunker was, everyone seemed to be dragging their feet. Each of them had their reasons, of course, but the same was true for all of them: nobody was ready to say goodbye. The small little dwelling had been turned into a full-fledged assembly line. “Hey.” Kat grabbed Stellan’s wrist and pulled him back from where he was going to go check on Anakyn cutting Jace’s hair for the fifth time. “I know it’s hard, but you need to relax.” Stellan let out a quiet groan and put his face in his hands. He wasn’t ready for all of them to go their own ways, out into the world where he couldn’t protect them anymore. Kat’s eyes filled with tears.
